What are FeedBackLoops aka Complaint Loops

Feed-Back-Loops (FBL)  are a way for  large  ISPs to let you  know that  someone has made a complaint  to THEM about a  message we have sent them  on your behalf.   This is not a bounce, or reply,  but a  mechanism that is used by their customers to flag  emails we  send them.  If  that  complaint ratio get's too high they  might decide to block us  altogether, which would  affect us  and our other customers.  A complaint rate of 1.5% or less is acceptable on this platform but if you are adhering to our Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policies as is required, you should never receive complaints.

For a detailed description by the people that define the FeedBackLoop concept, go M3AAWG FBL RESOURCES.
